Cato & Varro: On Agriculture
Editors: Hooper & Ash
Harvard - Loeb Classical Library

This volume contains two ancient treatises on agriculture. Cato's is the earlier one, being the oldest surviving complete example of Latin prose. Varro, an older contemporary of Caesar and Cicero, is a bit more expansive. Both provide a good glimpse into what had to be one of the most important activities in the ancient world. There are ample explanatory notes provided to aid the reader.
All the books in the Loeb Classical Library present the the original Latin or Greek text with English translation on the facing page.
